Every once in a while at my job I get to work on a side project with some creative freedom. This last week was one of those times. We are about to release a new version of our software and are going to print up some t-shirts to celebrate. My team and I worked on some artwork for the project. This is what we came up with:
When my daughter was too young to remember, we built a little red birdhouse together. If I remember right, it was a little Home Depot kids build kit. We assembled it, and painted it red. No big deal. Except, it was the first time we built anything together, and it’s hung from the tree outside our front door ever since. Needless to say, it’s pretty special.
Google Analytics has the honor of being the first modification to my bog standard WordPress install. I am now able to see which articles are getting the most attention which will help me decide which content to post in the future.

As you’ll see in future posts, one thing I love to do is work in my flower gardens. The girls and I spent some time today planting some Heatwave Blaze Salvia. Good times.
When my wife and I moved into our home, there was a children’s swing set in the backyard. It had gotten old and wasn’t safe enough for our daughter to play on so I repurposed it. I took it apart and used the wood to build a compost pile. My wife thought it looked terrible and hated it in the yard, but I thought it did the job perfectly.
